Inside the World of VC

Venture capital often gets painted with a broad brush—a world driven by profit margins, quick returns, and aggressive growth. But at its core, VC is about something much deeper: it’s about identifying groundbreaking ideas, supporting passionate founders, and investing in solutions that can genuinely change the world.

When I first started my career at an accelerator that later grew into a prominent VC firm, I was struck by how much it felt like building a startup itself. I was learning everything from scratch—organizing demo days, crafting marketing strategies, managing portfolios, and sitting in rooms with industry giants from firms like Blackstone. Each conversation was driven by one question: How do we disrupt industries and create meaningful change through technology?

Fast forward to today, and that same question still drives me. But now, the focus is sharper. Leading fundraising efforts as a part of the founding team at Climactic VC has been an incredible journey so far. It’s not just about raising capital; it’s about channeling that capital into ideas and people who are building a better, more sustainable future.

At Climactic VC, we’re not just investing in businesses—we’re investing in change. Our focus is on early-stage climate tech startups in the enterprise and mobility sectors. We prioritize software-first solutions that don’t just promise change but deliver measurable improvements in reducing carbon emissions. And we do this with a team with decades of experience across tech, venture capital, and entrepreneurship.

But beyond the numbers and investment metrics, venture capital is about people. It’s about founders who are dedicating their lives to solving the planet’s biggest problems. It’s about teams that wake up every day driven by purpose. And it’s about investors who see their role not just as financiers, but as partners in building a better world.

The startups in our portfolio are shaping industries, improving lives, and leaving the world better than they found it. Being part of this journey is an honor and a responsibility. Venture capital isn’t just about financial returns—it’s about creating lasting impact.

Here’s to growth, innovation, and a future where venture capital is synonymous with meaningful change. Onwards to 2025.
